Our Mission
News Effects exists to answer the question most news coverage skips: what does this actually mean for you? Every story is rewritten into a clear two-paragraph brief from cited, trusted sources, then run through our 6-point Effects Interpreter β showing the real-world impact on the economy, your money, health and daily life.
The Effects Interpreter β not the news summary itself β is News Effects' original contribution. The underlying stories are drawn from and credited to the outlets that reported them first; the impact analysis is ours.
Who's Behind News Effects
Madalina
News Effects is built, automated and edited by Madalina, who has a background in finance. That background shapes the site's focus: the Effects Interpreter's economic and personal-finance framing (interest rates, housing, wealth) isn't generic filler β it's written from a finance practitioner's sense of what actually moves people's money. Madalina designed the fact-checking gate, writes the rewrite and effects-generation rules the automation runs, and is personally responsible for every correction logged on this site.
Editorial Standards
- Independence: News Effects has no advertiser, owner or outside party able to influence editorial decisions.
- Accuracy: A story is only published once corroborated by at least one other independent outlet, and an automated fact-check step verifies every named person, title and figure against the source before publishing.
- Transparency about AI: story briefs are AI-rewritten from cited sources (never copied verbatim); the Effects Interpreter is rule-based. Nothing on this site is presented as human eyewitness reporting. Full detail on our Editorial Ethics page.
- Corrections: We correct errors promptly and prominently. Our corrections page is always public.
- Conflicts of Interest: Madalina discloses any material financial interest relevant to a story. We accept no payment for editorial coverage.
